Computation of Distances. — The distance shall be computed from the stand
or place whence the Carriage may happen to be engaged or hired ; but in case the
Carriage should be taken from any place of public assembly or amusement, the dis-
tance shall be computed from such place of assembly or amusement.
Detention. — If the Driver of any such Carriage be detained in the course of his
hire above fifteen minutes at any place or places, except when detained by the hirer
for the purpose of returning, as hereinafter provided, he shall receive for every fifteen
minutes' detention Sixpence.
