PREFACE.
The Publishers desire to record their thanks to the Public
generally for the large and increasing patronage bestowed
upon them. It is their aim and desire to render the Publi-
cation as correct as possible, and thus secure the approbation
of their Patrons.
The Publishers specially return thanks to Mr Robert
NiccoL of Union Street, for his kindness in furnishing a
correct Table of the French Weights and Measures.
The Plan of the Town is, as formerly, from J. Bartholo-
mew, Esq., F.R. G.S.J Edinburgh, and has been corrected
up to date.
