H "HIE TERMS and CONDITIONS of this INCORPORATION are much more favourahlc than
X those of any other similar Institution in Scotland. THREE-FOURTHS of the ENTIRE
PROFITS of the BUSINESS, without any reservation, are scptennially divided amongst the Policy-
holders.
A RETURN OF TWENTY PER CENT was made last year on the whole amount of Premiums
received hy the Incorporation for Insurances current during all or any part of the period from 18'J2
to 1839. The Reduced Rates of Premium are charged, and the business continues gradually and
steadily to increase.
All town risks of the first class, houses situated in the country, as also farm-houses and steadings,
are taken as common Insurances, at Is. 6d. per Cent. At the same rate of Premium, the stock and
crop on any part of the Farm may he Insured in one sum, without the average chaise ; and, if pre-
ferred, the Sum Insured may be allowed to decrease Monthly or Quarterly, whereby a considerable
saving is effected by the Insurer.
Insurances on Farm-Stock and Implements of Husbandry, are now exempt from the payment of duty.
PRINTED PROPOSALS, showing the rates and conditions of Insurance, may be obtained by
applying at the Head-Office, or at any of the Society's Branches.
