THIS INSTITUTION is foimded on the best and purest principles of mutual assurance. The
sound principles of calculation on which such Societies have been established, had long satis-
fied those acquainted with the subject of the great advantages they conferred on Insurers, and expe-
rience having convinced the public'of their perfect security, they now fully appreciate the advantages
of securing to themselves the whole profits to be derived from a safe and prosperous business.
Great care is exercised by the Directors of this Society in the selection of Lives — in the safe in-
vestment of the funds, and the economy of its management. This, combined with the principle of
the distribution of its surplus funds, has secured to the Society a rapid advancement in the estima-
tion of the public.
Parties insured for thirteen yeers have had more than one-fifth added to the amount of their
policies, and the additions to the Policies of less duration have been in the same proportion.
Prospectuses and every information obtained at the Head Office, or at No. 13, St Andrew Square,
Edinburgh.
HENRY GEORGE WATSON, Secretary.
