Periodical Eeturns in the shape of Bonus Additions to the sum
insured.
Non- Participating Policies may at any time be transferred to
the Participating Class on equitable principles.
GENERAL FACILITIES.
Bonuses may at any time be commuted for an equivalent Cash
Payment, or may be applied in reduction of future Annual Pre-
miums.
Parties who may be desirous to discontinue their Policies (after
three years' subsistence) may either have the surrender value in
Cash, or a New Policy for a Corresponding Larger Sum free
of Premium.
On Insurances for the whole life, half the premium may remain on
credit for the first five years, or one-third during the convenience of
the party assured.
No extra charge for residence in British North America, the Cape,
Australia, (excluding the Diggings,) New Zealand, and parts of the
United States ; and no license required except for the voyage.
Policies, on proof of age of the party assured, are declared indis-
putable from and after the expiry of Five Years from their date,
provided that the ordinary annual and extra Premiums stipulated
by the Policy be duly paid.
Parties effecting Insurance with the Company may, on application,
receive a Certificate declaring the Policy exempt, from and after
the expiry of five years from its date, from the payment of
extra premium for travelling or residing beyond the limits of Europe,
or for entering into Military or Naval Service, and from the ne-
cessity of applying for License so to travel or reside, or for entering,
after the expiry of the said Five Years into Military or Naval
Service, provided it shall be shewn, to the satisfaction of the Direc-
tors, that they have, at the time of application, no intention or pros-
pect of going abroad, or of entering into Military or Naval Service.
Advances made on Policies to the extent of their acquired value.
No Entry Money, or other charge beyond the Premium.
N.B. — In order to have the benefit of the year's entry, Proposals on
the Participating Scale should be lodged on or before the 3Ls-£ of
December.
