P E E F A C E.
The Publishers regret that unavoidable circumstances have
this year caused the issue of the Directory to be a few days
later than usual ; they trust, however, it may be found as
acceptable and useful as in former years. The Publishers
tender thanks to their numerous friends for their kind indulgence,
as well as for the large patronage bestowed upon their efforts.
The Plan of the Town has been corrected up to date, and
is by J. Bartholomew, Esq., F.R.G.S., Edinburgh.
