AND DISPENSARY,

ORDINARY MEDICAL OFI'ICERS.
Dr A. Peddie, 11, Rutland Square.
Dr J. Brown, 35, London Street.
Dr Coruwall, 25, Royal Circus.
CONSULTING SURtEON.
Professor Syme, 9, Charlotte Square.
THIS Institution is intended for the bene-
tit of a numerous class of individuals, who,
•\vlien labouring under disease, though unable to
pay for jjrofessioual attendance, are unwilling to
be considered objects of charity, and enter a
public hospital. It will bo found advantageous
for Servants and Lodgers, who cannot, from
their peculiar situations, obtain the necessary
attentions and comforts during sickness ; and
also for patients coming from the country in
quest of Medical or Surgical aid, to whom the
expense of lodging and attendance, perhaps for
a protracted period, would become oppressive.
The House is situated in a quiet and healthy
part of the town ; the building itself is commo-
dious, the rooms airy, and provided Avith every
necessary convenience ; and all the arrange-
ments have been made with a view to the se-
clusion and comfort of the patient.
The rates of admission are 12s. 6d., £1, or
£1, lOs. per week, according to the accommo-
dation required ; and these sums are calculated
as barely adequate to cover the necessary outlay
for nurses, diets, and medicines.
Patients wishing to be admitted to Minto
House may apply to any of the Medical Officers,
and, if resident in the country, should communi-
cate their intention before coming to town, that
arrangements may be made for tlieir immediate
reception.
Attached to the Hospital is a Dispensaky, at
which advice is given gratuitously, patients pay-
ing to the apothecary for the Institution for the
medicines prescribed. The Medical officers at-
tend every day at one o'clock; and those Pa-
tients who are unable to attend at the Dispen-
sary, are visited at their own houses by the
Pupils, who also afford assistance in urgent
cases at any hour of the day or night.
