THIS OFFICE offers to the Public the security of a large Subscribed Capital as a
Guaranteed Fund against any contingencies, in combination with all the advantages re-
■swltmg horn participating in the Profits of the Company or\ the Mutual Insurance principle;
Five Sixths of the ascertained profits in the participating scheme are added every fifth year to
the amount in each policy of this class, in proportion to the sum insured, and the number of yearly
premiums that have been paid thereon. By the plan thus adopted in allocating the surplus funds,
no Office, whether Proprietary or Mutual, can with safety bold out greater prospects of future
benefits to the Assured.
For the accommodation of those who prefer a certain future benefit to a prospective bonus, the
Company grant Policies at Diminished Rates, without any participation in the profits.
In the case of Insurances for life on the Non- Participation scale, one-half o? the premiums may
remain on credit, interest at five per cent being payable in advance.

then.
