The Northern Assurance Company.
II. —That on current Participation Policies for Assurances effected
after 30th April, 1S4G, and on or before 30th April, 1851, there
shall be Vested Additions of One Pound Seven Shil-
lings and Sixpence per Cent, per Annum on the Sums contained
therein.
III. — That, over and above the said Vested Additions, there shall be
Contingent Prospective Additions, at the same rate per
Cent, per Annum on such of these Policies as may become claims
(after payment has been made of the renewal premium) in any of the
Five years ending 30th April, 1856.
Baillie Williamson said —
That after the very satisfactory Report which had been read, and the able ad-
dress by the Chairman, it would be unnecessary for him to take up the time of the
Meeting by any remarks, and he would content himself with simply seconding the
adoption of the Resolutions, which he did with much pleasure.
The Resolutions having been put to the Meeting, were unani-
mously approved of, and a cordial vote of thanks having, on the
motion of Provost Blaikie, been passed to Dr. Cruickshank, for his
conduct in the chair, and for the warm interest he takes in the
affairs of the Company, the proceedings terminated.
