LIFE ASSURANCE.
THE system adopted by this Company combines the principle
of MUTUAL ASSURANCE, with the security of alarge Subscribed Capital,
and the support of nearly Seven Hundred Partners, of wealth and influence.
The Non-Participation Department embraces every description of Assurances on
approved lives, at the lowest rates of premium consistent with safety.
The Participation Scheme was begun in 1S40, and has been attended with eminent
success. The first investigation was made as at 10th February, 1847, and the results
were found so satisfactory that vested reprospective additions, at the rate of one and
a quarter per cent., were made to all Policies then connected with the Scheme, to-
gether with contingent Prospective Additions, at the same rate, to such of these
Policies, increased by vested Bonuses, as may become claims by_death before next in-
vestigation, which is to take place at 10th February, 1S52.
