Lerwick is despatched at 5, p.m., every Friday, and arrives every Wednesday, at
5, a.m., during the months of April, May, June, July, August, and Septem-
ber ; the other six months, the day and hour of despatch uncertain.
DELIVERY OF LETTERS.

Office open on Sundays for delivery of Letters from 40 minutes past 8,
a.m., till 10, a.m ; from 1, p.m., till 2; and from 45 minutes past 5, till 45
minutes past 6, p.m.
It is expected that early in August the line of Railway from London to Montrose
will be completed, when a change in the Arrivals and Despatches of the
Mails will take place. The Mails from London will probably arrive about
midnight and noon, and the despatches southward about the same time ;
the despatches northward, an hour after the arrival of the London night
Mail, and the arrivals about 10, p.m.
STAGE COACH CONVEYANCES.
Banchory.— Marquis of Huntly leaves the Royal Mail Coach Office, 65,
Union Street, every lawful day, at 4, p.m., arriving at Banchory at 6,
p.m. Leaves Banchory at 7, a.m., and reaches Aberdeen at 9, a.m.
Banff.— Earl of Fife leaves the Royal Mail Coach Offiee, 65, Union Street,
every lawful morning, at 7, a.m., and arrives in Banff at half-past 12,
p.m. Leaves Banff at a quarter-past 2, p.m., arriving in Aberdeen at
8, p.m.
Ellon, Old Deer, and Strichen.— Banks of Ythan starts from Ley's
Inn, Queen Street, for Ellon, every lawful day, at 3, p.m. ; to Strichen,
every Monday and Friday ; and to Old Deer, every Wednesday and
Saturday.
Edinburgh.— Defiance leaves the Royal Mail Coach Office, 65, Union
Street, every lawful day, at 6, a.m., and 12 h. 30 m., p.m., and arrives at
Montrose at 10 h. 30 m., a.m., and 4 h. 30 m., p.m., in connexion with
the Railway Trains for Edinburgh, &c. Leaves Montrose at 11 h. 45
m., a.m., and 6 h. 45 m. p.m., arriving at 4, p.m., and 10, p.m.
Inverness.— Defiance leaves the Royal Mail Coach Office, 65, Union Street,
every lawful day, at 6, a.m., and anives in Inverness at half- past 6,
p.m.' Leaves Inverness at 6, a.m., arriving in Aberdeen at 7, p.m.
