General purposes — under £7 of rent, Is. 3d. per pound.

Water — Dwelling-houses, 9d. per pound. All other Premises, 4d.
per pound. Premises under £3 are exempted. Sixpence per
pound additional is charged for Water introduced to houses
above £10 of rent. Rents below £10 are charged 5s.
The Assessments fall due on the 1st of November.
HARBOUR.
Commissioners under the Act, 6 and 7 Victoria, Cap. 72, " For im-
proving and maintaining the Harbour of Aberdeen," passed
• 12th July, 1843 :—
The Provost, Magistrates, and Town Council of the City of Aber-
deen, Commissioners ex officiis.
By the same Act, nine Burgesses of Guild, and three members
of the Incorporated Trades, are to be chosen by each of these bodies
respectively. At every subsequent annual election, one-third of
these Commissioners to go out of office by rotation. The three
Burgesses of Guild, and one member of the Incorporated Trades,
who had the fewest votes, to retire first ; these vacancies to be filled
by election. The next election takes place on the 3d Tuesday of
November, 1844.
