RATES OP STREET PORTERS.
STREET PORTERS' STATIONS AND RATES.
Street Porters, when unemployed, remain atthefollowingstations,
during the usual hours of labour, or until they be engaged, viz. : —
1. On the west side of the Plainstones, in Castle Street.
2. At the corner of Union Street and St. Nicholas Street, on the
east side of St. Nicholas Street.
3. At south side of Union Street, opposite Belmont Street.
4. At the corner of King Street and Queen Street, near North
Church.
5. At the head of Broad Street.
6. Waterloo Quay, opposite to Wellington Street.
7. Pocra Jetty.

And for every additional cwt. to be allowed at the rate of Id. extra
on each progressive rate.
When detained more than one quarter of an hour, either at load-
ing or unloading, to be paid at the rate of 1 i£d. for every additional
one quarter of an hour.
One-half additional to the above rates to be charged for all work
performed between the hours of 11 o'clock, p.m. and 5 o'clock, a.m.
from the 15th March to 15th September, and between the hours of
10 o'clock, p.m. and 6 o'clock, a.m. during the rest of the year.
