Windows in Shops or Warehouses, in front, and on the ground or base-
ment storey are exempt, if not exceeding the number of 3.
Poor who receive public charity, are exempted ; also persons having 3
children wholly maintained by them, and occupying houses not worth £5
yearly rent, and not having more than 6 windows.
Houses furnished, and left to the care of any person or servant are liable
to window duty.
