and Wester Clepington to the northei'n boundary before
described of the limits to which this act extends; and
comprehends the whole space within these bounds.
Wafd VIIL is bounded on the west and north by the
Wellgate-fitreet, from the ton of the Wellgate-street by
the Bucklemaker-wynd and Clepington roads to the north-
ern boundary of the limits to which this act extends; on
the south by part of the Cowgate-stfeet, from the foot of
the We'lgate to King-street, and by King-street and the
turnpike-road leading from Dundee to Arbroath ; and on
the east and north by the boundary before described of the
limits to which this act extends; and comprehends the
whole space within these bounds.
Ward IX. is bounded on the west by Barrack-street and
the Barrack-road, up to the west end of Bell-street ; on the ^
ilorth-east and soilth by Bell-street, the before-mentioned
passage leading from the east end of Bell-street, north-
ward, by the west end of the Tannage Yard ; from the
north end of that passage by the i*oad or passage leading
on the south side of the Ladywell to the top of the Well-
gate, and by the Wellgate, MurraVgate, High-street, and
Overgate, to the foot of Barrack-slreet j and comprehends
the whole spate within these bounds.
Ward X. is bounded on the west by Small's-wynd and
the before-mentioned passage known by the name of An*
derson's-tlose or the Little-close; on the south by the
Netht-rgate-street, from the foot or south end of Small's- '
Wynd to the fciotor south end of the Long-wynd; on the '
east by the Long-wynd; and on the north by the Over-
gate-street, from the top or north end uf the Long-wynd
Westwards, and by the before-mentioned street or road ;
(part of the boundary of Ward VI.) le-.tding from the west
end of the Overgate, along by the VV'e-tport and Witch-
know, to the Blackness-ioad, and thence to the northern
east by Bell-street, by the close or passage leading t*rotH
the east end of Bell-street northward, by the west side of
the Tannage Yard ; from the north end of that passage by
the road or passage leading on the south side of the Lady-
