The membership consists of painters, sculptors,
and architects, natives of or resident in Scotland
— as artist members ; and gentlemen interested in art
— as lay members. The object of the Club is to ad-
vance the cause of art by means of exhibitions of
works of art, life classes, the acquisition of books and
papers on art, lectures on art subjects, and other
kindred means.
Candidates for membership will receive all necessary

The object of this Society is the promotion and
study of Archaeology, particularly in Glasgow and
the West of Scotland. Meetings are held in the
Society's rooms, 207 Bath Street, on the third Thurs-
day of November, December, January, February,
March, and April. The annual excursion takes place
in August or September, and visits to places of anti-
quarian interest in the neighbourhood of Glasgow
are arranged from time to time. Annual subscrip-
tion, 12s. 6d.
NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY OF GLASGOW.

The aims of the Society are, the encouragement of
natural history in all its branches by meetings for
reading papers and exhibiting specimens, and by
excursions for practical work. Candidates for mem-
bership must be recommended by two members of the
Society. The meetings are held on the last Tuesday
of each month except July and August, in the
Society's rooms, 207 Bath Street. Subscription —
Life members, £5 5s; ordinary members, 7a Gd;
associates, 5s.
THE SCOTTISH ART CIRCLE.
Instituted 1908.
For the purpose of encouraging the study and
practice of the fine arts amongst its members by the
holdicg of an annual exhibition of their works in
Glasgow.
Members pay an annual subscription of £1 Is. and
an entrance fee of £1 Is. on joining the society.
Candidates for membership will obtain all infor-
mation from the secretary, Mr. Wm. Eeid, C.A., 67
