Letters, &c., for the City are delivered by Postmen six times daily, Sundays excepted — 1st, 6.45 a.i
2nd, 10.30 a.m.; 3rd, 12.30 p.m.; 4th, 3.0 p.m.; 5th, 4.30 p.m. (suspended on Saturdays) ; 6th, 7.30 p.i
Box at Head Office closing at 6.30 a.m., 10.0 a.m., 12 noon, 2.30 p.m., 4.0 p.m., and 6.45 p.m. Therol
also a delivery in the Central Districts only at 9.15 a.m., closing time 8.45 a.m.
Correspondence for the Suburban Districts of Crosshill, Crossmyloof, Govanhill, Langside, Mount Florida^
Newlands, PoUokshields, Shawlands, and Strathbungo is delivered from the Southern District Office;
Anniesland, Dowanhill, Hillhead, Jordanhill, Kelvinside (Part), Partick, Whiteinch, and all the Western
Suburban Districts from the Western District Office ; Possilpark and Springburn from the Northern District
Office; Maryhill and North KelviHside from the North- Western District Office; Dennistoun and Parkhead
from the Eastern District Office; and Bridgeton and Dalmarnock from the South- Eastern Dijtrict Oflice.
There are six deliveries daily (Sundays excepted) from each of these District Offices, commencing at 7
a.m., 11.15 a.m., 1.15 p.m., 3.45 p.m , 6,16 p m. (suspended on Saturdays), and 8.0 p.m., Box at
Head Office closing at 6 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 noon, 2.30 p.m., 4.0 p.m. (except Saturdays), 6.46 p.m.
On Sundays, between 9 and 9.30 a.m., there is a delivery of letters only to — (1) Strangers using the
Poate Restante ; (2) Renters of Private Boxes; and (3) Persons making use of the Express Delivery
Service.
A Local Post Office Guide, published monthly, price One Penny, which may be had at any Post
Office or from the Postmen, gives information affecting the posting of Letters, &c., the despatch and receipt
of Mails, &c., from month to month. Annual subscription, One Shilling.

at 12.5 a.m. and ending at from 10.0 to 10,50 p.m.

collected at short intervals from 8.35 a.m. to midnight. Sundays, 3.55, 4.10, 4.5, and 4.0 p.m. respectively.
b. Letters posted at the Royal Exchange Pillar Box are collected at about every half hour from
9 a.m. to midnight; Sundays, 4.45 p.m.

Telegraph Offices, t denotes Trunk Telephone Public Call Office.
DELIVERY OF PARCELS.
The first delivery of parcels in Glasgow commences from the Waterloo Street Office, and also from the •
Suburban District Offices at 7.45 a.m. For the Central Districts only the first delivery commences at
8.45 a.m. The subsequent parcel deliveries are made at the same times as letters, &c., are delivered.
