IMPERIAL UNION CLUB.
The Club is instituted for the purpose of main-
taining the Unionist cause and of promoting
the social intei course of Unionists, to whatever poli-
tical party they may belong. Those alone are eligible
for membership who are resolved to maintain to the
best of their ability the union of the three kingdoms,
and the complete supremacy of the Imperial Parlia-
ment. The general and political committees of the
Club are composed of Conservatives and Liberal-
Unionists in equal proportions. The Club House is
situated at No. 82 St. Vincent Street. Terms: —
Entry money, £3 3s. ; annual subscription, town mem-
bers, £4 4s., country members, £2 2s. Secretary,

GLASGOW CONSERVATIVE ASSOCIATION.
The objects of the association shall be to maintain
those fundamental principles of the Constitution
j which secure the prerogatives of the Crown, the Pro-
testant succession, the privileges of Parliament, and
the equal civil rights of all classes ; to resist all
attempts to subvert our Protestant faith; and, while
opposing rash innovations, to support every well-
considered measure tending to promote the well-being
of the people, and to improve the financial adminis-
tration and judicial systems of the country.

THE GLASGOW GENERAL EDUCATIONAL
ENDOWMENTS BOARD.
(Constituted by Scheme No. 11 under the Educa-
tional Endowments (Scotland) Act, 1882.)
The scheme embraces tl.e following endowments :
Mnir's School Fund, Millar and Peadie's School,
Wilson's School, Gardner's School, M'Lachlan's School,
and Graham's School. The scheme provides for the
awarding of free scholarships, school bursaries, techni-
cal and higher education bursaries, bursaries for even-
ing classes, &c. The bursaries are awarded among
pupils of public or state-aided schools in Glasgow,
or public or state-aided schools in the district of the
School Board of Cathcart, or of any School Board
contiguous to and immediately adjoining the district
of the School Board of the burgh of Glasgow. Secre-

GAELIC SOCIETY OF GLASGOW.

The objects of the Society are: — The cultivation of
the Gaelic Language ; the cultivation and development

a Celtic spirit among the Highlanders of Glasgow.
Persons of Celtic extraction, or such as take an interest
in its objects, are eligible to become members. The
Subscriptions of Members to the Funds of the Society
are: — Life Members, one payment of £2 2s. ; Honorary
Members, annually. Ladies 3s., Gentlemen 7s. 6d. ;
Ordinary Members, annually — Ladies 1 s , Gentlemen
3s. The Society meets in the Religious Institution
Rooms, Buchanan Street, on the last Tuesday of each
Month, from October to April.
