CLAN DONNACHAIDH SOCIETY.
Instituted 1893.

The objpcts of the society (which are non- sectarian
and non-political) are — The fostering of clan senti-
ment ; the cultivation of social intercourse among the
members; the rendering of assistance to deserving
clansmen ; the encouragement of education, and the
collecting and preserving of records and traditions
bearing on the history of the clan.
Those eligible for membership are persons claim-
ing to be of the clan Donnachaidh — namely, Robert-
sons, Duncans, Duncansoos, Donnachies, M'Don-
nachies, M'Connnchies, Skenes, and certain families
of Reids, &c. The membership is of three classes,
viz : — Life members, £3 3s. ; extraordinary mem-
bers, 10s. 6d. annually ; ordinary members, 2s. 6d.
annually.
MAXWELL AND HUTCHESON CHARITABLE
TRUST.
Founded in 1877, under the will of Miss Ann
Maxwell Graham of Williamwood, for the benefit of
necessitous persons, chiefly gentlefolk, of the name
of Maxwell or Hutcheson, and husbands or wives
of, or descendants of, these names. The Trustees
are : — H. Brown, mercht., J. H. N. Graham, merchant,
Graham Hutchison, of Balmaghie, Castle Douglas,

at 8 p.m. in the Blacksmiths' Hall, 172 Buchanan

fortnight; initiation fee, 2s. 6d. Benefits — 10s.
first twenty-six weeks, 7s. 6d. for next twenty-six
weeks, and bs. per week during remainder of illness,
with doctor's attendance and medicine free. Further

Objects. — To provide means of education, and to
aflbrd pecuniary relief to members or their families,
or to other parties connected with Renfrewshire
whose circumstances are necessitous, by (1) Bursaries
(two) of £15 per annum, tenable for three years at
Glasgow University; and (2) Pensions of £5 per
annum to each of seventy-two or more persons.
Membership. — Open to ladies and gentlemen natives
of county, owners of landed property, residents of
three years' standing, or connections by marriage,&c.,
of members or persons qualified to be members.
Entry Money. — £2 2s. and no further payment.
