Master — James Pithie.
Branches Taught — English "Reading, Grammar, Geography, History, "Writing,
Dictation, Arithmetic, Mathematics, Geometry, Music, and Drawing. Fees
— Three halfpence per week. Reading books, pens, ink, and paper fur-
nished to pupils gratis. There is a Library in connexion with the school.
Evening Classes are opened in September for Writing, Arithmetic, and
Mathematics,
SCHOOL FOR GIRLS.
Teacher— Mrs Cruickshank.
BEAiiCHES Taught — Same as in Roys' School, with the addition of Plain Needle-
- work and Knitting. Fees — Three half -pence per week. Everything fur-
nished to pupils gratis.
Dr Bell's Schools, as wiU be seen from the moderate charges, are intended
chiefly for the children of the labouring classes. There is accommodation for 400
boys and 200 gii'ls. The school-rooms are commodious and well-aired.

Master - James Robertson.
Bkasches Taught — English Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Mathematice,
Book-keeping, Geography, English Grammar, and Composition. Fees —
per Quarter--3s. 6d. to 7s. 6d.
