Letters must be registered half an hour previous to the time of box
closing, except in the ease of the first mail to Ayr, Kilmarnock, &c.,
which should be registered the evening before. On payment of au
extra fee of 4d, letters may still be registered for half au hour later
in most cases.
Deliveries by letter-carriers begin at 7 a.m. (London and Scotland,
North of Ireland. Greenock, &c.); 8 a.m. (Loudon, Ayrshire, South
of Ireland, &c); 1.88 p.m. (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Greeuock, Ayr,
&c.) ; 4.0 p.m. (Glasgow. Edinburgh, &c.) ; 7.15 pm. (Greenock,
Glasgow, Ayr. Englaud, &c.)

Despatch of letters, &c. for London, Englaud. Foreign, Glasgow,
Edinburgh, Ireland, Greenock, Port-Glasgow, Ayrshire, &c, 6.15

Delivery of letters to callers (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Greenock, Port-
Glasgow, A-r.) from 8 a.m. till 10 a.ih. at the Office. No arrivals from
Ireland or England delivered on Sunday.
No deliveries by letter-carriers on. Sunday. On Past Days one
delivery, commencing at 8 a.m. Office open on Sundays from 8 a.m.
till lo a.m.. and on Past Days from 9 a.m. till 10.45 a.m. aud from 7
till 8 p.m.
Letters are collected from the Receiving Office, 28 Wellmeadow
Street, and from the Pillar Boxes at Pauseyside Street, Bank Street,
and St. James Street, at 1(1 a.m., 12.30 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., aud 9
p.m. No collections on Sundays.
Money orders are granted and paid from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. Savings
Bank and Government Life Insurance Annuity business transacted
during same hours ; aud ou Saturdays from 9 a.m. till 8 p.m.
On Sundays aud Fast Days no business of this descriptiou is done.
Office open on week days for Post Office aud Telegraph business
from 7 a.m. till 9 p.m., and on Sundays from 8 a.m. till 10 a.m. only,
but the letter box remains open as on other days.
