X HE Directors invite particular attention to
The Improved Terms and Conditions of the Standard Policy.
Free or Whole-World Assurance to New Applicants.— Free Policies at
Home Rates, with permission to proceed to and reside in any part of the
world, are granted at once to all persons, who, when proposing, are not
less than 25 years of age, and have no intention or prospect of going abroad.
Free or Whole-World Assurance to existing Policyholders.— All persons
assured for Five years, not holding Free Policies as above, who have at-
tained Thirty years of age, have not been beyond the Company's free limits
for five years previously, and are not of military or seafaring occupation^
shall be entitled without application to proceed abroad at any time there-
after without payment of extra premium.
Policies of Five Years' Duration, effected for the whole term of Life at
a uniform rate of Premium, may be renewed within thirteen months of
date of lapsing, on payment of a moderate fine ; and in the event of death,^
the claims will be paid subject to a ded uction of Premiums unpaid and Fines.
Policies of less than Five Years' Duration may also be renewed within
thirteen months, on very favorable terms.
Policies are Unchallengeable after Two Years' Duration, on any ground
connected with the original documents, if age has been proved.
Surrender Values of fixed amount after payment of Three Annual
Premiums.
Paid-up or Non-Forfeitable Policies of not less than £50 granted in
exchange for the Surrender Value.
Mercantile Marine Assurance.— Ofiicers in First-Class Vessels are not
charged extra for trading between this country and foreign ports.
Claims Paid on proof of death and title.
Loans granted on Policies within their Surrender Value.
The Rates of Premium for home and foreign residence are moderate
and consistent with the risk. The limits of free residence have been con-
siderably extended, and are now very comprehensive.
Distribution of Profits.
The Company have divided Profits in 1835, 1840, 1845, 1850, 1855,
1860, 1865, 1870, 1875, 1880, 1885, and 1890 ; the total Bonus additions'
declared amounting to upwards of £5,500,000.
PARTXCIPATXNG P O X. I C X E S
EfiFected before 15th November 1895 will rank for One Year's Bonus at the
Division of Profits as at that date.
