Mercantile Participating Policy-holders for the Quinquennium ending 31st
December, 1910, was at the rate of £1 10s per cent, per annum — an increase
of 2s pe r cent, per annum on the Bonus for the previous Quinquennium.
If taken as a percentage on the original sums assured in the Policies, this
Bonus is equivalent to an addition of from £3 IBs Od per cent, per atmum
(or =€18 5 s Od for the Quinquennium) on the oldest Policies to £1 10s Od
per cent, per annum on those recently effected.
