Machine as used for cylindrical work, as Boot
Legs, Trousers, Sleeves, &c.
With. Table, and suited for all the pui'poses
of an ordinary Machine.
£20
PATENTED 7tli FEBRUARY, 1862.
The continual demand for a Machine capable of worliing in either direction
at will, without the necessity of detaching and substituting other parts of
machinery, which were in many cases laid aside, and always troublesome, led
to the invention of this Machine, where the same working parts operate in
both actions.
This Machine has a Cylindrical Arm 15 inches long, and 2 inches diameter,
with the Feed-Motion capable of operating in two directions, and for Boot-
work is fitted to work with two needles, making two rows of stitching at the
same time ; and so arranged that the smallest Boot may be sewn all round
the Golosh and up the back, after the insertion of side spriugs. Tailors
will find it specially adapted for sewing up and putting in sleeves, stitching
round Cuffs, Trousers, &c, — in addition to all the purposes of an ordinary
Machine.
