At the International Ventilation Competition, London, opened by H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh
SL'resident, Lord John Manners— when all the best known mechanical and natural systems
competed, the Boyle system was adjudged the best, and awarded the £50 prize, with Grand Diploma
■-■(only prize offered). The Boyle system has also gained the first prize at all other ventilation competitions.
"The evidence adduced points to the disadvantages of Artificial or Mechanical Ventilation, and certainly
*ends to ^ow that Artificial Ventilation has not proved so satisfactory in actual practice as Natural."
