GLASGOW MISSION TO THE ADULT
DEAF AND DUMB.
Established 1822.
Objects — 1. To provide extended Religious and
jecular Instruction among the Deaf and Dumb
hroughout Glasgow and the West of Scotland, after
hey have quitted School 2. To visit the sick, un-
â– mployed, and other Deaf and Dumb persons at their
'lomes. 3. To assist the Deaf and Dumb who have
food characters in obtaining employment. 4. To
lirovide an Interpreter where necessary. 6. To grant
relief in cases found to be really deserving.

This society is established to provide, at modwate
rates of premium, for the relief of members during
sickness or other infirmity, and for a sum to be paid
at death. The benefits are, 20s. per week during
sickness and £10 at death. Copies of rules and
forms of application may be had from the manager or
any of the office-bearers.

pecuniary aid to indigent natives, or widows, or chil-
dren of natives, of these counties resident in or near
Glasgow. The subscription of £1 Is. per annum for
four years, or £4 4s. in one sum, constitutes mem-
bership to parties eligible by connection with any of
these counties; and persons willing to be enrolled
are respectfully solicited to communicate with the
treasurer or secretary of the society, or any of the
