LETHAM,
WITH THE PAEISH OP DUNNIOHEN.
LETHAM is a small village in the parish of Dun-
nichen, five miles from Forfar, its post town, and
about two miles from Auld Bar Eoad Station, on the
Caledonian Eailway. Pairs are held on the 26th May,
unless that day should fall on a Saturday, when it is
held on Monday, and November 23rd.
DIJNNICHEN is a parish four miles in length, by
about six in breadth, bounded by the parishes of
Forfar, Inverarity, Eescobie, and Kirkden. The
greatest elevations are the hills of Dunnichen, 800
feet, and the hill of Dumbarrow, 700 feet above the
level of the sea. There are several quarries, three
churches, a chapel, and three schools in the parish.
