PROPERTY INVESTM ENT COMP ANY OF SCOTLAND.
The Operations of this Company embrace Three Objects : —
I. Accumulation of Savings.
A Share in the Company is constituted by a Fortnightly payment of One Shilling ; and a Fort-
nightly payment of Four Shillings, i.e. for Four Shares, accumulating at 5 per cent, compound
interest (the ordinary rate of profit), amounts in fourteen years to £100, of which £27, 4s. is interest.
No Fines are imposed for arrears in contribution, and Unadvanced Shares can at any time be
withdrawn.
2. Advances for Property.
Advances are made to Shareholders for Purchasing, Building, or Redeeming Debts on Houses,
Shops, or Offices. An annual payment of £10, 2s. for 14 years eztinguishes both principal and
interest for every £100 advanced. Advances can at any time be redeemed.
A small Sum annually, in addition to rent, soon enables a Shareholder to become his own landlord.
3. Deposits.
A liberal Interest is allowed on Deposits. Depositors incur no liability as Shareholders, and
their claims for Principal and Interest are preferable debts on the Company. Deposits are repay-
able as arranged.

authorised by Act of Parliament. Every information may be obtained from the
