The Industrial Department of this Institution being now in
thorough working order, and the blind workmen having gained con-
siderable efficiency in their various occupations, the Directors desire
to call attention to the following articles, all manufactured by the
Blind, from materials of the best quality, and sold at moderate prices,
and to solicit the inhabitants of Dundee and vicinity to favour the
Institution with their orders.
BASKET DEPARTMENT.
Clothes, Butter, Hand, Dress, Work, and Bottle Baskets,
Hampers, Mill Baskets, &c. &c, on hand, or made to order.
Repairs Neatly Executed.
MATTRESS DEPARTMENT.
Feather, Hair, Wool, Flock, Seagrass, and Straw Mattresses
always on hand, or made to measure.
Feathers Chemically Purified, and Mattresses carefully Cleaned and
Re-made. The Mattress and Feather Bed Departments, both in the
production of new and the renovation of old bedding, will be found the
most complete in Dundee, Machinery on the newest and most ap-
proved principles having been lately erected to facilitate the prepara-
tion of the materials.
WEAVING DEPARTMENT.
Prepared Wool or Cotton Rags made into Bedcovers or Carpets,
with strong Flax Warp.
MAT DEPARTMENT.
Strong Loom-made Cocoa Fibre Mats, suitable for Doors, Stair-
cases, or Lobbies : Skeleton Pattern Plaited Mats, for Lobbies,
Billiard Tables, &c. Knee Mats, Cocoa Scrubbers, &c. &c.
Bank and Office Doors fitted with Union or other Mats.
All Goods Supplied to Dealers at Wholesale Prices.
When parties cannot call, or reside in the country, orders sent by
post, or otherwise, addressed to the Manager, will be promptly attended
to. All purchases made at the Institution are delivered free of charge
in Dundee and Suburbs.
The Institution is open for business from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ; on Satur-
days, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Public are invited to visit the Institution from Eleven to One,
and from Three to Four o'clock (Saturdays excepted), to see the Blind
at work.
