PHCENIX FIRE ASSURANCE COMPANY OF
LONDON.
THE Subscriber begs leave respectfully to recommend
his Friends to avail themselves of the protection afforded
by the above Institution against the destructive ravages of FIRE,
which, in a few moments, may lay waste the fruits of a whole
life of industry and care.
Insurances are effected by the PHCENIX COMPANY
upon every species of property on the most favourable terms ;
and the Agent thinks it proper to apprize his friends, that per-
son's insured hy the PHCENIX COMPANY, are not liable to
calls to make good the losses of others, as is the case in some
Offices ; and that by a reduction of the premiums recently
made by this Company, persons insured with it derive an im-
mediate advantage, equivalent, in most cases, to Twenty-five
per cent.

INSURANCE COMPANY OF SCOTLAND.
THE Subscriber has to return his most sincere thanks
to the friends of the late Dundee Assurance Company,
and the Public in general, for the liberal support he has received
since his appointment as Agent in Dundee for the INSUR-
ANCE COMPANY OF SCOTLAND.
The very considerable share of business the Company has en-
joyed, marks the public approbation of the honour and prompti-
tude observed in the settlement of losses, and encourages the
Directors to hope for increased support in favour of this National
Establishment.
All descriptions of special risks are insured on favourable
terms. The Insurance of Farming Stock is now reduced to 2s.
per cent.
LIFE INSURANCE.
The Subscriber also respectfully intimates, that having been ap-
pointed Agent for the STANDARD LIFE ASSURANCE
COMPANY OF EDINBURGH, he effects Insurances on
Lives and Survivorships, &c. on the most liberal terms.
