Ashes to pay two-thirds the freight of clean hemp per ton of sixty-
three poods gross;
Sees'' Wax, (in matts,) to pay two-thirds the freight of do. per
ton of do.
(In casks,) the same freight as clean hemp per ton of do.
Feathers the same freight as Codilla hemp per ton of forty-four
poods gross.
Flax, in all cases, the same freight as hemp.
Grain, (Wheat,) 97 imperial quarters are equal to ten tons of
clean hemp.
Pease, beans, and tares to pay 10 per cent more than the
freight of wheat.
Rye to pay 7| per cent. ; linseed 10 per cent. ; barley 15
per cent. ; oats 22| per cent, less than the freight of
wheat.
Sowing linseed. — 12 barrels in casks, or 24 barrels inbulk^
are equal to a ton of Rhine hemp.
Hemp, from Fetersburgh. Oiitshot to pay one-eighth; half
clean to pay one- fourth; and Codilla to pay one-half
more than the freight of clean hemp.
from Riga. Out-shot to pay one-eighth ; Pass to pay
one-fourth ; and Codilla to pay one-half more than the
freight of Rhine or Polish hemp.
Hides ( Tanned) and Bristles, to pay two-thirds the freight of
clean hemp per ton of forty-four poods gross.
(Dried,) three-eighths more than freight of clean hemp
per ton of do gross.
(Wet or Salted,) two-thirds the freight of clean hemp.
Horse Hair, (manufactured,) double the freight of clean hemp
per ton of do.
Hare Skins, the same freight as clean hemp per ton of 3500
skins.
Isinglass, (in bales,) the same freight as ^lean hemp per ton of
forty-four poods gross.
(In casks,) one-fourth more than the freight of clean
hemp per ton of do.
Linens. — 80 pieces Flems ; 90 pieces ravenducks ; 120 pieces
driUings ; 80 pieces of narrow (one ell), or 40 pieces of
broad (two ells) sheetings; 60 pieces of sailcloth ; 6000
arsheans broad diaper, linens, or crash ; or 8000 ar-
sheans narrow linen, diaper, or huckaback — are equal
to two-thirds of a ton of clean hemp.
Mutts, from Archangel, to pay 5 per cent, less than the freight
of hemp, for any quantity not exceeding one-sixth part
of a cargo, reckoning 400 double, and 500 single, to a
ton.
Tallow to pay two-thirds the freight of clean hemp on the gross
weight.
Tar or Pitch, 100 barrels are equal to 97 quarters wheat, impe-
rial measure.
Wool to pay double the freight of clean hemp per ton of sixty-
three poods gross.
Wood, (Pine Deals,) 120 pieces, Petersburg standard, equal to
three loads of timber.
(Wainscot Logs,) to pay one-third more than the freight
of pine timber per load of fifty cubic feet.
(Half Logs,) for broken stowage, to pay two-thirds the
freight of whole logs.
(Masts, thirty-three feet girt measure of,) is equal to one
load of pine timber of flfty cubic feet.
( Staves,) one mille of running pipe, equal to twenty loads
of pine timber.
(Deal Ends,) for broken stowage, io pay two-thirds the
freight of deals.
(Lathwood,) one fathom of, for broken stowage, equal to
a load of timber.
