Foreign Telegraph Money Orders.
Money may be transmitted by Telegraph Money Order to the follow-
ing countries : — ■
Certain offices only in Algeria, Egypt, Faroe Islands, France, Iceland,
Italy, Luxemburg, Roumania, and Sweden.
Any place in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Hol-
land, *Hungary, *Norway, and Switzerland.
The charges are — a money order commission at the rate for orders
payable abroad ; the cost of a telegram of advice at the rate per word
for telegrams for the country in which the order is to be paid; and a
supplementary fee of 6d. per order.
Money Orders do not require a receipt stamp.
Although at the end of twelve months from that in which it was
issued, a Money Order, if still unpaid, becomes legally void, neverthe-
less, when a good reason can be given for the delay in presenting it, an
application for payment, subject to a certain deduction, is entertained.
No application can be entertained for compensation for alleged
injury from the non-payment of a Money Order at the expected time.
After once paying a Money Order, by whomsoever presented, the
Post Office is not liable to any further claim.
Postal Orders.
Postal Orders for certain fixed sums from 6d. to £1 Is. are now
issued in the United Kingdom; and in certain British Colonies and
places at which British Postal Agencies are maintained.

together with the poundage payable in respect of each Order :■ —

Broken amounts, but not fractions of a penny, may be made up by
the use of postage stamps, not exceeding three in number or flvepence
in value, affixed to the face of any one Postal Order.
* Ordinary and Telegraph Money Orders may be drawn on any place
in Hungary and Norway, but if there is no telegraph office at the place
of payment, the order will be sent to the payee by post from the
nearest telegraph office.
