The object of the Association is to promote the
systematic study of the temperance question in
all its aspects. The Association is unsectarian and
non-political in its character. Its examinations are
open to bub sexes and to all sections of the temper--
ance world. The ceitificates give a locui standi
to successful students as speakers, teachers, &c., on
the subjects in which they have qualified.

GLASGOW ATHEN^UM DRAMATI3 CLUB.
The objects of the Club are to encourage the study
of the art and principles of elocution and acting.
Meetings are held in the Athenaum every Tuesday
evening at eight o'clock from September till February,
besides which there are several public entertain-
