PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE.
The " Advanced " Policy of the Ocean Corporation is the most
comprehensive, Uberal, and best adapted to the classes to which it is
addressed. A provision against Accidents or Permanent Incapacity
for professional men, merchants, and persons following non-hazardous
occupations. Compensation paid in case of accidents causing death and
permanent disablement, as well as allowing weekly compensation in case
of temporary total disablement from accident up to 52 weeks for any one
accident (every other Insurance limits the disablement to 26 weeks) ;
and during disablement (up to 26 weeks) by Diabetes, Asiatic
Cholera, Typhoid or Typhus Fever, Scarlet Fever, SMALLPOX,
Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pneumonia, Pleurisy, Erysipelas, Measles,
Carbunclen Reversionary Bonus, increasing amount insured by 5 per
cent, annually until the tenth renewal.
EMPLOYERS' INDEMNITY INSURANCE.
The Ocean Corporation insures employers against their liability under
the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1897 ; Employers' Liability Act,
1880 ; and the Common Law. Each case is treated on its individual
merits, and employers are invited to communicate with the Corporation,
who will be pleased to submit quotations on receiving particulars of the
risk to be covered. The policy is free from all restrictions, and gives
absolute cover under the aforesaid statutes.
BOILER INSPECTION AND INSURANCE.
The Corporation is now prepared to issue policies covering the
Insurance and Inspection of Steam Boilers.
The Directors have every confidence that the terms of the policy
contract, including the periodical inspection of boilers, will commend
itself to steam users generally.
INDEMNITY (THIRD PARTY) INSURANCE.
Employers insured against claims made them by Third Parties in
respect of damage caused by their employees. Accidents by Lifts and
Elevators covered, and Lifts Inspected Quarterly by the Corporation's
trained engineers.
FIDELITY GUARANTEES.
The intromissions of persons holding positions of trust are guaranteed
by the Corporation. Bonds issued to the Sheriff Court and Court of
Session. Solicitors are invited to communicate particulars of cases where
caution is required, and quotations will be submitted.
SICKNESS INSURANCE.
Policies are issued to both men and women in the Professional and
Mercantile Classes, insuring against Disablement by Sickness alone, or by
either Accident or Sickness. After five years' premiums have been paid
without a claim arising, the Directors will consider an application for a
surrender value.
