CHARITABLE AND FRIENDLY INSTITUTIONS.
POOR CHILDREN'S DINNER TABLE
SOCIETY.
Instituted in 1869 for the purpose of supplying
deserving and destitute children with one meal daily
daring the winter months. In 1898-99 seventeen tables
were open, viz., Barony Institute, Black St., Town-
liead; Bell St., Calton; Campbellfield st., Mile-end;
Bishop St., Anderston ; Govan street, Hutchesontown ;
Muse lane; Blackfriars Parish Hall, Duke st.; Day
Refuge, James Morrison street ; Day Refuge, Fossil
id. ; Day Refuge, London Road ; Day Refuge, Pitt
street, Anderston; Bethany Hall, Bridgeton; Kelvin
street, Partick; Cornwall street, Plantation; Govan
«ross ; Pollokshaws ; and Coalhill street, Cam-
lachie. Tickets of admission are distributed by
visitors, and a committee of ladies superintends each

PERTHSHIRE CHARITABLE.
The principal object of this society, the qualifica-
tion for membership of which consists of a small sum
of entry-money, is to afford relief to persons in indi-
gent circumstances, natives, or widows of natives of
Perthshire, and their children resident in Glasgow
and the neighbourhood, or passing through the city
unexpectedly falling into distress.

ASSOCIATION.
The objects of the association shall be — (1) The
cultivation of friendly intercourse among the mem-
bers ; (2) the relief of persons belonging to any one
of the counties of Roxburgh, Berwick, Selkirk, and
Peebles, residing in or passing through Glasgow
in indigent or distressed circumstances ; (3) to-
encourage, in so far as the funds are available for
the purpose, the cause of education in the counties
by the presentation of prizes, or otherwise.

HAMILTON'S ANNUITY FUND.
Trustees — The Hon. the Lord Provost and the
two Senior Bailies of Glasgow, the Ministers of the
parishes of Govan and Gorbals, and the Chairman of
the Govan Combination Parish Council, all for the
time being; T. Smith, clerk, 32 Main Street, Gorbals.
Under the Act the trustees pay the sum of £2 per
annum, to be given in clothing as a prize to the suc-
cessful competitor at the Annual Ploughing Match in
the parish of Cathcart; and annuities of £4 each to
decayed natives and residenters of forty years and up-
wards in the Barony of Gorbals of Glasgow, such
persons being not under the age of sixty-five years.
Said Annuities may, under certain circumstances, be
increased until the same shall amount to £i.
