MISSION COAST HOME, SALTCOATS.
The object of this Home is to afford a gratuitous
care and treatment hydropathically to the suffering
of any country or clime, and it is wholly supported by
voluntary contributions unsolicited. All communi-

GLASGOW BROWNS' SOCIETY.
Members of this society must be of the name of
Brown, or husbands, wives, or descendants of persons
of that name. Each entrant shall contribute Five
Guineas, except sons-in-law and daughters-in-law
of members, who shall contribute Three Guineas,
and husbands, wives, sons, and daughters of members,
who shall contribute Two Guineas, but a larger con-
tribution may be given by any one so disposed. Dona-
tions are received from persons of any name, and every
contributor of one guinea, at least, shall be considered
an honorary member. The annual General Meeting is
ield on the second Thursday of March; Managers'
meetings on the first Thursday of March, June,
Sep., and Dec The annual produce of the capital
stock is from time to time applied towards relieving
necessitous members, or their widows or children, and
may be employed in placing the children of indigent

The objects are (1) To promote means of fiiendly
'intercourse amongst the natives of the County resi-
dent in Glasgow, and (2) To promote the moral and
(intellectual improvement of its members.
GLASGOW KINCARDINESHIRE ASSOCIATION
Its objects are — to revive, conserve, and promote the
interests, sentiments and associations of the County;
to cultivate social and friendly intercourse, encourage
mental culture, mutual improvement, and rational re-
creation ; to assist by pecuniary or other aid deserving
necessitous members or persons eligible to become
members who may be passing through or resident in
Glasgow, or the immediate neighbourhood. President,

COLQUHOUN BEQUEST FUND FOR
INCURABLES.
Founded in 1873 by the late Archibald Colquhoun,
Esq., of Riddrie Park, merchant in Glasgow, its ob-
ject being the application of the free income of the
trust in '' the relief of poor persons residing ia
Glasgow or its immediate neighbourhood who may
either have been dismissed as incurable from the
Glasgow Royal Infirmary or other hospitals in Glas-
gow, or who are afflicted with incurable disease, and.
so destitute and helpless as to be proper objects of
charity." The capital of the trust amounts at present
to about £23,500, and the income is administered by
a body of trustees, assisted by a staff of lady visitors.
The sum distributed for the year 1897-98 was about
£700, which was dispensed in amounts ranging from
£3 S.S. to £13 each per annum. Contributions to-
wards either capital or revenue will be received by the
treasurers, J. & J. Boyd «& Miller, 190 St. Vincent
Street, Glasgow, who will also furnish informatioa
as to the terms of the Trust Deed.
GLASGOW ANGUS AND MEARNS
BENEVOLENT SOCIETY.
Its object is to afford relief to natives, their widows,
and families resident in or near Glasgow who havo
fallen into distress.
A contribution of £3 3s. constitutes life membership,
payable either at entry or ia three annual instalments
of £1 Is.

SONS OF TEMPERANCE FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
Grand Division of Scotland.
This Society is composed entirely of total abstainers,
and is thus enabled to give the same benefits as non-
abstaining societies for a smaller contribution. Uni-
form entrance fee 2s. 6d.; contributions from 2f d. per
week according to age and benefits. Benefits 5s.,
10s., 16s., or 20s. weekly in sickness, £5 or £10 at
death, medicine and attendance free. Sickness benefit
for females 5s. or 10s. weekly at same rates. Funeral
fund only, payments from one halfpenny weekly ; sums
insured, £5 to £50; children of members eligible for
insurance.
