Eours for admission of Patients. — In-door patients,
with lines, from 12 till 1 o'clock daily (Sunday ex-
cepted). Accidents and iirgent cases admitted at any
hour. Dispensary open daily (Sunday excepted) at
2 o'clock. Diseases of women on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, and Fridays at 3.30 p.m.; diseases of
the ear on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 3.30 p.m.;
diseases of the skin on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. ;
diseases of the teeth on Mondays and Thursdays at
4 p.m.; diseases of the throat on Mondays and Thurs-
days at 4 p.m. Vaccination performed gratuitously
at the Dispensary on Mondays and Thursdays at 12
noon.
Friends admitted by card to see patients on Tues-
days and Fridays from 11 a.m. till 12 noon, and on
Sundays from 10 till 11 a.m.

At the end of 1894 there remained on the books
of the Infirmary 2344 cases; the number of new
cases admitted in 1895 was 16,292, making the total
number of cases under the care of the medical ofScers
during the year 18,636, as against 17,264 in 1894.

Incorporated by seal of cause from the Magistrates
and Town Council, and supported by voluntary
contributions.
This institution was formed in 1805, for the cure
of unfortunate females. The directors are chosen
annually, and consist of one from the Clergy, one
from the Town Council, one from the Merchants'
House, one from the Trades' House, two from the
Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons, and six from
the general body of subscribers.
