1HE great advantages which the above machine possesses over any other consists in the great
I quantities it can produce, combined with the most perfect mixing of the Concrete both in
a Dry and Wet condition, and the extraordinary saving of Manual Labour obtained. As the
Revolving Cylinder of Machine is square inside, and as it gives a Continuous Discharge, it is
impossible for the Material to pass through without being perfectly Mixed. Machines can be
supplied capable of Producing from 80 up to 200 cubic yards of First-class Concrete per day.
This Machine will be found of great advantage to Engineers, Contractors, &c., in the construc-
tion of Concrete Docks, Sea Walls, Bridge Foundations, laying of Concrete Streets, or wherever
large quantities of Concrete are required. It is now being extensively used upon the most
important Concrete Works in Scotland and England, such as Messrs. Tancred, Arrol, & Co.,
Forth Bridge Works, South Queensferry; William Arrol & Co., Tay Bridge Works, Dundee;
Clyde Navigation Coy.'s No. 2 New Dock, Govan ; Messrs. Walter Scott & Co., Silloth New
Docks, and at Hury Reservoirs, Cotherstone, N.R., Darlington ; Walter Scott, Victoria Build-
ings, Granger Street, West, Newcastle-on-Tyne ; and Robert M'Alpine, Contractor, New
Esplanade, Bray, near Dublin. Machines can be supplied with Engine fitted on Carriage to
â– work direct, as above, or to be driven by an Engine separate from Machine.
Also Horizontal Engines, and Vertical Engines and Boilers combined. Mortar and Clay Mills,
Brick and Tile Presses, Iron and Steel Rubble and Concrete Tipping Boxes, Waggons, Hutches,
and all kinds of General Engineering and Smith Work.
