ADVERTISEMENTS. 179
iT^HIS Institution has now been in existence for nearly a Century.
-^ It has accommodation for 550 Patients, and the Wards are
generally full.
j Though managed on the strictest economic principles, the Ordi-
lary Expenditure of last year was nearly £25,000 ; while the
Drdinary Income was little over £18,000.
During the past year the liberality of the general public was
â– nuch better sustained than could have been anticipated, considering
lihe extreme dulness of the times ; but, while grateful for the
;'enerosity that has been displayed, the Managers regret that,
fter using up all the Legacies received during the year, nearly
;4000 had to be withdrawn from Capital to meet the deficiency.
In these circumstances, it is earnestly hoped that the friends of
,he Institution will give its claims a fresh consideration, and that
hose who have hitherto held aloof will esteem it a privilege to
pntribute something towards its support.
In 1885, upwards of 30,000 cases were treated at the Dispensary,
'hile about 5000 Patients received trea, tment in the Wards.
Copies of the Annual Report, which gives full particulars, will
je gladly sent on application ; and Contributions will be thankfully
jceived and acknowledged by
JAMES KERR, CasMer,
30 GEOEGE SQUAEE.
