GLASGOW CONSERVATIVE ASSOCIATION.
The objects of the association shall be to maintain
those fundamental principles of the Constitution
which secure the prerogatives of the Crown, the Pro-
testant succession, the privileges of Parliament, and
the equal civil rights of all classes ; to resist all
attempts to subvert our Protestant faith ; and, while
opposing rash innovations, to support every well-
considered measure tending to promote the well-being
of the people, and to improve the financial adminis-
tration and judicial systems of the country.

The objects of the society are the discussion of
legal and cognate speculative subjects, and the consi-
deration of questions of juridical interest. Admis-
sion to it is restricted to members of the legal profession
and law students, and its meetings are held every
Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock, from November to
April, in the Faculty buildings, St. George's place.

The object of this Association is the study and
advancement of photography among amateurs, which
it promotes by monthly meetings, at which lectures,
demonstrations, &c, are given, and by an annual
exhibition held in November. All information may
be obtained by intending members on application to
the secretary.

The object of this Club is the study and advance
ment of art in Glasgow and the West of Scotland
which it seeks to promote by life classes and an annus
exhibition of works by its members ; also by conver
sazioni, at which pictures and objects of art are ex
hibited, and by conversation and the reading of paper
on art topics.
Intending candidates for membership will receivi
all necessary information from the hon. secretary, wit
whom applications must be lodged.
ST. MUNGO ART SOCIETY.
This society was instituted in 1874. Its object i
the improvement of the members and associates ii
the theory and practice of art — to be promoted b;
life classes, an annual exhibition, a monthly port
folio, criticism on the sketches contained in it, socia
meetings during the winter months, and by conversa
tion on kindred topics.
The meetings of the Society are held in the Clu'i
rooms, 137 West Regent Street, on the first Thursda;
of the month. Associates are elected at the meeting
held in May and December. Members are electee
from associates in November. For further inf ormatioi
