WEAVERS' SOCIETY OF ANDERSTON.

The object of this Society is to afford charitable aid
to such of its members and their widows as may be
reduced to destitute circumstances. The fee or entry
money, payable by a son or son-in-law of a member,
or by an apprentice indentured to a member (a weaver
by trade), is £2 2s., and the entrance fee payable by
all others is £5 5s., with the addition of 2s. per
annum in the case of sons, sons-in-law, and appren-
tices, and of 5s. per annum in the case of all others,
for every year the applicant exceeds 30 years of age
at the date of his admission. Members must not be
under the age of 14 when admitted, nor above the
age of 45, and must be resident in the district
formerly known as the burgh of Anderston, or neigh-
bourhood thereof. ^_^
MAXWELL AND HUTCHESON CHARITABLE
TRUST.
Founded in 1877, under the Will of Miss Ann
Maxwell Graham of Williamwood, for the benefit of
necessitous persons, chiefly gentlefolk, of the name
of Maxwell or Hutcheson, and husbands or wives of,
or descendants of, these names, and for education of
their children. The Trustees in Glasgow are : — A.

EOBERTSON BEQUEST.
Founded by Miss Isobel Eobertson, 5th August,
1844. Tbe funds are to be distributed amongst (1)
ten decayed gentlewomen, who shall have been re-
siding for at least 10 years in Glasgow, who shall
not be less than 45 years of age, and shall never
have been married; (2) ten females each of whom
shall have, for at least seven years consecutively,
been a hired servant in one family in Glasgow, shall
not be under 50 years of age, shall never have been
married, and at the time of selection shall be out of
service. Amount of Pensions at present (1) £9,
and (2) £4 10s.

THE GLASGOW EASTWOOD CLUB.

This society was instituted in 1797 by several
gentlemen residing in or near Glasgow connected by
birth or otherwise with the parish of Eastwood, for
the purpose of holding a social meeting once a year,
and of collecting a sum of money for distribution
among the deserving poor of that parish. About
£130 is annually distributed at the end of December,
each recipient getting 12s. 6d. The annual meeting
is held on the second Wednesday of December, to
which all connected Vv-ith the parish of Eastwood are
invited.

The principal object of this society is to afford
pecuniary aid to indigent natives, or widows, or chil-
dren of natives, of these counties resident in or near
Glasgow. The subscription of £1 Is. per annum fof
four years, or £4 4s. in one sum, constitutes mem-
bership to parties eligible by connection with any of
these counties ; and persons willing to be enrolled
are respectfully solicited to communicate with the
treasurer or secretary of the society, or any of the

This society is established to provide, at moderate
