Its object is the enlightenment of Protestants hi
the manifold errors of Popery, and the conversion of
Roman Catholics and Infidels to the Faith of Christ,
by means of public lectures, classes, and conferences.
It carries on its operations on purely missionary
principle?, and employs a trained and permanent
agency. An efficient missionary has been obtained
in Mr. George Hay, who has already proved himself
to be a successful worker in this special sphere of
labour. - Mr. Hay has undergone a regular course of
study in connection with the " Proteetant Society
for promoting the religious principles of the Refor-
mation, and for special missions to Roman Catholics
in Great Britam," and holds a certificate of a most
satisfactory kind from the lecturers and secretary of
the London societj'.

Treasurer, Frank Y. Henderson, Esq., and by the
Agent, Mr. George Hay.
The Directors meet in the Religions Institution
Rooms, 172 Buchanan street, on Third Monday of
