NSURANCES are granted on Property situate in all parts of the British Dominions, and in
most Foreign Countries, at rates which are computed according to the actual risk incurred
LIFE DEPARTMENT.
rflHE Life Business of the Company is divided into two distinct branches —
*- I— THE NON-PARTICIPATING BRANCH.
The Assured in which receive no additions to their Policies — the Premiums being calculated
on the lowest scale consistent with safety; and
II.— THE PARTICIPATING BRANCH.
In which the Whole Profits, less a fixed percentage of one-tenth of the Premiums foi
management and guarantees of the sums assured, belong to the Policy-holders. The amount fo
the Quinquennium ending 31st December, 1875, was the largest ever earned in any fivi
years since the formation of the Company, and was sufficient to provide a Bonus of £1 10s. pe.
cent, per annum upon the sum assured— -or £7 10s. per cent, for the whole Quinquennium
leaving, in addition, £33,420 to be carried forward.
Fire and Life Proposals and Tables of Rates may be obtained at the Offices of the Company
and Agencies throughout the Kingdom.
