PATENT IRON GIKDER
FOR BUILDING PURPOSES.
THESE Girders are admirably adapted for supporting and stiffening the floors of Dwelling-
Houses, Warehouses, Public Buildings, and other structures.
From the peculiar manner of their construction, which admits of the Joists passing through
them, they are completely hid in the ceiling, and at the same time form a tie to the building,
while their great strength renders the use of Pillars almost unnecessary.
Being put up in Sections, they are especially useful in alterations, and where the floors have
sunk, as they can be put into the floor with little inconvenience, and the deflection removed
without altering the appearance of the ceiling.
Their efficacy has now been thoroughly tested, a very great number of them having been
fitted up in all kinds of Buildings with complete satisfaction.
