WHO has been upwards of twenty years in the service of Messrs. J. & E. Teknext,
Wellpark Bretteky, Glasgow, begs to inform his friends and the public that, as
Messrs. Tennent bottle only for exportation, he has opened those extensive premises at 44
KENFREW STREET, called the CITY OF GLASGOW BOTTLING STORES, for the bottling
of their world-famed Pale Ale and Stout, for home use; and from his knowledge and long
experience, he trusts soon to make this brand as popular at home as it has so long been abroad.
To ensure the public getting their liquors genuine, as bottled by him, a Patent Capsule is put
on each bottle.
All who have travelled abroad know that the Messrs. Tennent's Beer and Stout are preferred
to any other, and it is to make the Red X brand as well known in Glasgow as it is in Asia,
Africa, and America, that F. M'D. has ventured upon this undertaking.
The Stores were built in the beginning of last year, and are fitted up on the most approved
principle, having great facilities for cleanliness, and an apparatus for keeping an even tempera-
ture in the coldest weather, so that parties can depend on getting their Beer in rare condition
at all seasons.

BEER AND STOUT ON DRAUGHT WITHOUT WASTE.
To those who prefer it on Draught, F. M'D. supplies neat Stoneware Casks, containing A\
gallons, fitted with Lock Taps and Elastic Vents, specially made for family use. The demand
for these casks has been quite unprecedented, owing to their convenient size and cleanliness,
and being air-tight, the liquor is drawn off in splendid condition to the last glass.
These Stoneware Casks are so neatly got up that they may stand on a shelf in any apartment,
and nothing can be drawn therefrom without the key, which is handed on delivery. The empty
is removed, and at the same time replaced by a full one, without any trouble to the purchaser.
The superior tonic properties of the Pale Ale, the rich nourishing quality of the Stout, and
the purity of both, are highly appreciated by the medical profession.

The Teems are, Prej^iayment for tJie Liquor and Pachage. The charge for package, including
Stoneware Cask, Tap, and Vent, is 12s.; or, if in bottle, each case containing 6 doz. bottles, 12s.
If the empties are returned uninjured this amount will be remitted on receipt.
N.B. — F. M'D., encouraged by the great demand among families in the City and Suburbs
for J. & R. Tennent's world-famed Pale Ale and XXX Stout in his Patent Stoneware Casks and
Capsule Bottles, has made arrangements to send his vans regularly to the following places,
