THE SCOTTISH EQUITABLE combines the advantages of Unquestionable Security,
Liberal Conditions of Insurance, and Economical Management.
It is an entirely Mutual Society ; and consequently the WHOLE PROFITS belong
to the Policyholders exclusively.
By Resolutions recently passed, the conditions as to Foreign Residence and Travel have
been greatly simplified and made much more liberal.
The Existing Assurances, including Bonus Additions, at 1st March 1877 were . £7,799,080
The Annual Revenue was 295,036
And The Accumulated Funds were 2,262,956
The recent Progress of the Society is well shown in the following Table : —
Non-Forfeitable Policies are now granted by the Society on a new and improved
plan, which combines the advantages of Moderate Premiums payable for a limited number
of years (11, 22, or 33), Ultimate Participation in the Profits, Fixed Surrender Values, and
the issue of Fully Paid-up Policies without special application to the Directors.
Loans are granted in connection with Life Insurance, on Life Interests, Reversions,
and other approved Security. The Directors are also prepared to entertain proposals for
the sale of Reversions to the Society.
