LIFE ASSOCIATION OF SCOTLAND.
FOUNDED 1838.
Empowered by Royal Charter 1841, and by Act of Parliament 1853.
FOE LIFE ASSURANCE AND ANNUITIES.
Invested Funds, £1,150,000 Sterling.
Annual Income upwards of £260,000 Sterling.
ONE distinguishing feature of this Institution is, that the
BONUSES from PROFITS
are applied on a Special System for the Policyholder's
Personal Benefit and Enjoyment during his Lifetime,
either at an early or later stage of the Policy.
There are also many Regulations in favour of the Assured as regards
Indisputability, Non-Forfeiture, Occupation, and Residence; the Policies in
Class B. being almost without any Conditions or Restrictions. Further, a
Life Assurance in this Class not only secures a provision for representatives
at Death, early or otherwise, but in the event of average length of Life, is
one of the most Lucrative Investments to which savings can be applied.
Is Class A.— The Bonuses from Profits are applied in Cash, at an early stage
of the Policy, in effecting
A LARGE REDUCTION OF PRESENT OUTLAY.
In Class B.— The Profits are allocated in unusually large
BONUS ADDITIONS TO THE SUM ASSURED
in the event of average length of life ; the Policyholder having the Option of
an Equivalent
PROVISION FOR OLD AGE BY A LIFE ANNUITY
of an Important Amount, or by One Cash Payment.
Thus, after the average period of life, the Assurance, instead of being an
expense and a burden to the Policyholder, may be made a source of Income
to himself during the remainder of his life; while at the same time the Sum
Assured will remain untouched for his Representatives or other purposes.
This system is peculiar to the Life Association of Scotland.
LIFE ANNUITIES may "be purchased on favourable terms.
