The object of the Association is to establish agen-
cies where soldiers of good character transferred to
the reserve, or discharged from the army and desirous
of obtaining employment, may learn what situations
offer, and in what industries they may look for work ;
also where gentlemen and employers of labour wish-
ing for the services of strong, active young men,
trained to habits of punctuality, steadiness, and
obedience may apply.
