THE SCOTTISH COMMERCIAL REGISTER is intended to supply a long-felt want in
general business circles, by placing, within the reach of every one, information of a
character calculated to supply them with the means of judging of the propriety of Opening New
Accounts, and extending Credit or otherwise.
It will be published every Monday Morning, and in addition to a Weekly Diary, will contain
a Note of Bills protested for Non-Payment, Decrees in Absence in the Ordinary and Debt
Recovery Courts, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Notices, &c.
Annual Subscription (Payable in Advance), 7s. 6d., which includes two Half- Yearly
Supplements, with all the above information arranged in Alphabetical Order for Reference.
When required to be posted, 2s. 6d. per Annum Extra.
Cases for containing the Register, 2s. each, to be had from the Publishers.
Subscribers will be entitled to the benefits of the DEBTS RECOVERY DEPARTMENT,
which will be found an economical and speedy mode of recovering Outstanding Debts in Town
and Country. When necessary to take legal measures, the position of the Debtor is usually
ascertained beforehand, and thus unnecessary expense in prosecuting worthless cases is avoided.
When the Debt is not recovered, only Outlay is charged.
