LIFE DEPARTMENT.
THE peculiar and distinctive features of this Society consist — In allowing no member,
when unable to continue his payments, to lose the benefit of the sums which he has
paid, and arrangement m.iy be made to secure a Policy free from any future payments.
By making every Policy absolutely Indisputable under any circumstances, thereby ren-
dering them negotiable instruments as security, and entailing no trouble or inconvenience
on the survivors.
By making every Policy payable to the holder by endorsement, by which means
the expense and trouble of an Assignment are avoided. By this means a Policy may be
negotiated with the same facility as a Bill of Exchange.
The Society is established on the just principle of Mutual Life Assurance, returning to
the Assured, by way of Bonus, the surplus above the cost of the Assurance.
It embodies all the improvements of other Offices.
The Funds of the Society are employed in granting Loans to Members upon approved
Security.
The Payment of the Premiums is arranged to suit the convenience of all classes of
Assurers. One-half the Premiums for the first five years may remain unpaid.
The Assured are protected by a Guarantee Fund of £50,000, in addition to the An-
nual Income and Reserved Fund.
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
This Company Insures almost every description of Property.
Fifty per Cent, of the Profits returned annually to the Insured.
A Liberal and Systematic Classification of Risks.
Every Reasonable Allowance made for improvements in the construction of
Buildings.'
Rates of Premium charged for each Risk, as the circumstances of the case may
justify, and without regard to the tariff adopted by other Offices.
N.B. — Persons insured in other Offices, who may be desirous of deriving the advan-
tages of a Return of Fifty per Cent, of the Profits, can transfer their Policies to this
Company without any expense, trouble, or inconvenience.
